National Task Force on

DeafBlind Interpreting

The National Task Force on DeafBlind Interpreting (NTFDBI) is a collaboration among the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the American Association of the DeafBlind (AADB) and the National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers (NCIEC).  Other member organizations are the Conference of Interpreter Trainers (CIT), the National Alliance of Black Interpreters (NAOBI) and the National Family Association of the DeafBlind (NFADB).  Individual members represent various stakeholder groups in the DeafBlind and interpreter communities.

Its mission is to establish a standard of effective practice to ensure the quality and availability of interpreters for DeafBlind people.

The NTFDBI sends out periodic announcements of training opportunities, conferences and new resources.  To be added to the list, visit our subscription page.
